i have been searching for about a week for the solution for this but nothing so far. And I’m absolutely sure it is a very little and stupid thing. That’s why it took me a week before i wanted to ask the question
I followed the tutorial on how to make a wordpress theme. In the tutorial Chris uses a "sticky footer"
page-wrap with a negative bottom margin
push with a positive margin equal to page-wrap
footer with height equal to push
The problem is that the push div doesn’t push anything. It’s there but the footer div doesn’t get placed under the push div but on top.
I have used this method before – and although I cant for the life of me right now remember it exactly and why its not working – if you remove -150px margin, it works lol I think…
I tried that before and it does work. But in the video tutorial the -150px margin is used and it works. So why doesn’t it work for me?
I know I should be happy it works. But i’m one of those guys who isn’t happy knowing it works but wants to know why some things work and don’t work 8-)
I haven’t checked the tutorial, but I commonly use this sticky footer method
