I just finished my first WordPress site for our Preschool & Kindergarten.
Wanted to share with the community…hear your thoughts.Here is the site: [http://stmatthews-school.org/](http://stmatthews-school.org/ “http://stmatthews-school.org/”)
It was done using the methods shown by Chris’ Lodge redesign instructional videos.
**My development environment:**
* MacBook Pro Retina
* CodeKit + Compass + SCSS
* MAMP
* Transmit to push the files (no beanstalk)**Wordpress Plugins**
* Advanced Custom Fields
* Advanced Custom Fields: Repeater Field

* Clean Notifications
* Email Login
* Groups
* Jetpack by WordPress.com
* St. Matthew’s School Custom Plugin
* The Events Calendar
* Ultimate Coming Soon Page (before site was launched)
* W3 Total Cache
* WordPress SEO
* WP Clean Up
* Wysija NewslettersThank you (to everyone) for posting and sharing on this site. I deeply believe this site is one of the best learning tools around.

Almost all are key. (Art Direction isn’t used, but I know is popular). The WP Clean Up plugin is one of my favorites because it cleans up the database real nice.
@attilahajzer Thank you for your thoughts. Concerning adding more green, I will see what I can do. The church’s ‘primary’ colors are red and blue so I did feature them more. The site will be told to the moms and dads soon, so I still have time to tweak. The calendar title I believe will come to life after some events are entered. The calendar is by Modern Tribe and they just released their v 3.0 and it is really cool. The post and the events both get ‘filtered’ by the logged in user via the ‘Groups’ plugin. So if you are a parent in a 3-YR class then you only see what is applicable to your classroom. The Events Calendar played perfectly nice with the ‘Groups’ plugin. Time.ly’s calendar did not. Thanks again for writing.July 15, 2013 at 11:25 pm #143043ajnoguerraParticipantI think this website is a success! :) awesome!
