post code in wordpress

  • # November 24, 2011 at 8:12 pm

I am trying to post code in my wordpress post. From my reading, wordpress is suppose to recognize the code tag but it doesn’t seem to be working. When I try it, it shows the code tag as well as the code inside so I thought to try the pre tag as well and it still doesn’t work. Anyone know how to do this?

Sorry, what are you trying to do?

Are you trying to display code on the website, or use code inside of your post?

I am trying to display the code, not run the code. The point is to put in a shortcode, have wordpress run the code that the shortcode does and then be able to display the code below to show how the shortcode was done. View this page to see what I an example
