Post your favorite Text Editor, and why?
Really, I’m just looking for a ‘Coda’ for windows… I love how its got everything bundled in it.
Mediocre Results
I use Dreamweaver both at work (Windows) and at home (Mac).
It’s what I’m used to and it gets the job done. I’ve considered trying Coda at home, but not sure I really need to bother.
Ya Dreamweaver isn’t bad, I just cannot stand their "_notes" way of synchronizing things. I’ve had Dreamweaver forever, do they have extensions for snippets like Coda/TextMate?
There is a snippets section, but not exactly the same as Coda.
intype i like the snippets feature
Notepadd++ for me.
Clean, easy to use, color codes my tags, highlights the open and closed tags that match, shows how things line up. Broke off from dreamweaver to use and don’t regret it one bit.
intype is very similar to a coda or text mate, and it looks like its going to be fantastic… once its finished. The UI is very clean/sleek.
Notepad++, I think is very good. Its very very lightweight and does include an ftp client built in to access/edit pages and upload on save. The UI is very Classic flat Windows, but that attributes to its small footprint.
Notepad++ for me :) although I am always on the lookout for something better. :) PC user too…
Added a real poll for ya!
Love my Dreamweaver. Although, I never tried anything else.
