    So I have a problem that I have no idea how to fix. If you just take a look at http://philhavens.com you can see that the header image is only transparent on one side. The page is just blank and I am the header is being included via PHP.

    well the header image you show is 796 pixels wide and the page wrap you have is only 700 pixels wide with a white background. Now I am assuming that you put the header image inside the page wrap inorder to center the layout. I think you need to increase the size of the page wrap to start. I also don’t think your page wrap needs a background color. Just give the individual divs the background color instead.
