Here is a website I am designing for a cake maker that I know. Now I am not the best “designer” so would love some constructive feedback. If anyone would be so kind as to leave a comment, it’d be greatly appreciated.

I have no footer yet so it’s not totally complete.
The site is looking good, good job. Here are a couple of suggestions:
I would align the cake images and the box below them. Please see the screenshot below:

I wouldn’t italicized the paragraphs in the “The Jewels Cakery” and “Meet the Creator” sections. Italics usually are meant to be used when you want to emphasize some words. If you are italicizing those paragraphs to achieve a desired look, I would recommend you to choose a serif or cursive typeface, there is a big variety in google web fonts that you can use:

I believe you need more contrast between your background and text color. Probably you can use a darker color for your text, and/or a lighter color for your background. This is a tool I use sometimes to measure contrast:

Good Luck!
Agreed with contrast and not italicizing paragraph text. I disagree with using GWFs.
I also think that particular sans-serif type needs to go along with the background texture. You are designing something formal and the texture just ruins that, in my opinion.
Thanks for your great feedback. Its much appreciated!
