    I want to stop bastards from putting <iframe> redirects into my index.htm[l] or .php.
    As I understand it, locking the root directory blocks index.* from running.
    I urgently need a solution.

    I think that it is a good idea because it will definitely help protect your website. And you’ll be more in control of what’s happening to it.

    I know how to password protect like your whole website in WordPress… but then no one would be able to get to it :o
