Hey dude, I’m no expert on this so I’d like someone else to chip in and help but I think it’s possible to purchase ML from the App store and then not install it. Once you click purchase it downloads the file first and I think it then gives you the option to install it.
I know that it’s possible to re-download ML afterwards (source) however, I haven’t tried either, I simply downloaded and installed and didn’t pay attention to any option to cancel the installation (although I’m sure you can).
