Open content in same page on clicking an Image

We have this WP template purchased by client…

for this page we want whenever a team member’s pic is click his detailed info shall come on same page with that beautiful animation as on other pages
in detailed info we will have details about his education + his past works+ his projects these re the changes we need

Any tutorials how this can be incorporated?

There are several ways this could be done in basic HTML, CSS and a little JS/JQuery which can then by WP/PHP’d.

The question is what is this supposed to look like?

Where would this additional information be placed on the screeen?

Do you want a pop-up, modal box, tooltip or what?

Design first, code second, functionality third would, I think, be the right process here.
