One PHP counter to work on all pages

  • # December 12, 2011 at 1:13 pm

I am trying to make a site where I connect to a MySQL database, and I would like to be able to echo each row separately, multiple times per page, as well as over different pages, each time the id of the post going up by 1.
Are there any other ways than making a counter to go up one every time a code is run, or can I make it show a different id every time something is entered into the database.
If I do have to make a counter that works over all the pages, not reseting on each separate page?
