    I have using **NVDA 2012 2.1 screen reader**, am just adding a role attribute to one div like role=”contentinfo” and giving some text inside the div but my screen reader **reading only the content** inside the div except the role attribute.

    If i mention **role=”menuitem”** and some text inside the div, that time my screen **reader reads both role and content.** how this happening?

    Only role=”menuitem” is readable, rest of the role=”contentntinfo”, role=”banner” etc… not recognized…

    Please help me on this …

    There is a spelling mistake here

    role=”contentntinfo”

    which might relate.

    Do you have a link?
