multiple scripts on one page

  • # May 2, 2010 at 6:05 am

    Hi

    I have an issue.
I am quite new to using js and jquery, and i have a question on how to make two scripts to work on one page.

    I want to use this
    http://dev.andreaseberhard.de/jquery/superbgimage/

    and this
    http://fancybox.net/

on one page, but it seems that they cancel eachother out. I can make both work on the page, but not at the same time.

Is there some way around this?

    Thanks
    Simon

Try changing the script load order. Always load jQuery first, then try loading the SuperBGImage before fancybox and see if it works. If not, try after. If it still doesn’t work, I would recommended you use a different lightbox plugin, like this one http://leandrovieira.com/projects/jquery/lightbox/

    Thank you jamy

you are providing me with lots of help.
    i will try it out.

Is lightbox a better script? I actually used it before, but i prefer how fancybox looks.

    Thank you

I also prefer the look of Fancybox, but if it’s giving problems then you’ll just have to bite the bullet. You know what also looks pretty cool – I haven’t tried it out yet though – is http://colorpowered.com/colorbox/
