Home › Forums › CSS › mouseover/hover image zoom css help!
here’s my little blog: http://thomhalcyon.tumblr.com/ i enjoy the aesthetic already, and wouldn’t like to compromise it, yet i’m aware there are certain mouseover functions that would would allow magnification/zoom.
this seems relevant: http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menu/magnify.html
ideally, i’d like the magnified image to hover over some portion of the empty space to the right of the column.
if someone could help me, i’d be very appreciative
That one’s a cheat.
There are actually two images, one small and one large. The larger one is hidden until you hover over the small one.
That’s adding an extra load request and taking up more memory.
You could achieve the same effect with a pseudo element and a single image. Browser support would, I think, be IE8+
