I’m having a nightmare trying to get Typekit to work on my local server (MAMP). The Typekit support article is ridiculously vague, and i’ve found it really difficult to find supporting articles on the web too.

I’ve gone to the trouble to make a Quickast, to show my workflow. If possible, have a look and see where I may be going about it the wrong way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Doesn’t appear as you are using Mamp. Look at your URL. file:///.... That’s not localhost.

I’ve also tried loading the page using the URL:

    localhost:8888

And still no luck. I’m pulling my hair out at this stage.

@ryan_s screenshot your preferences in Mamp.

@ryan_s Choose Set Apache and MySQL Ports to 80 and 3306. Try that.

Still getting no luck. Just so that you know, i’m building a site using Foundation 5. I don’t see how this matters, as my Quickcast was made using a simple HTML page.

Restart Mamp and go to http://localhost.

Just tried that and nothing. It just seems like a nightmare. The worst thing is that I will not sleep until I get it working.

As you can see, it falls back the Helvetica, instead on the opted Brandon Grotesque.

@ryan_s Double check to see if you have the font name Brandon Grotesque correct. It might be Brandon-Grotesque.

I just done that, and still nothing. I’m going to try and reset the ports back to 8888 and 8889. See if that works, fingers crossed.

    Do you have Javascript disabled?

Javascript is enabled in Chrome, so it cannot be that.
