LOCALHOST on MAC

    Hi,
    I’m new o mac and wanted to get some advice on running sites locally.
    I would like something similar o WAMP for windows.
    any suggestions?

    It’s usually already installed on OS X. System Preferences>Sharing> check to see if web sharing is ticked. Then your files will be placed in your ‘Sites’ directory in your user’s root folder.
    Google this, you’ll find loads of info.

    I also need phpmyadmin and noticed that the free MAMP does’nt have it.
    I’ve been searching for a tutorial on how to install apache, php, MySQL and PHPMYADMIN.

    anyone know of a good tutorial??

    Yes it is, I use the free MAMP and can safely say that PHPmyAdmin is there.
