JQuery

Im looking to implement a slide on my blog, to slide text (hyperlink a top picks list) Im struggling where does JQuery code go i understand html and css but the tutorial of the sliders assumes everybody knows, I would like to use the Organic tab slide i have it looking how i want the css the html but what do I do with JQuery ?

you can link to your js files inside

but your page will load faster if you link them at the bottom of your html document, just before
