International Signup form?

  • # January 20, 2010 at 5:25 pm

    Hi everyone,

What are some good practices when creating a signup form that targets users of many countries? Do you have any examples?

For example, not all countries use the term "state." Perhaps I could have the user select the country first and then display a State input textbox for USA and Province input textbox for Canada, etc.

Just wondering if anybody knows of any good resources or examples. Thanks!

What you described is exactly what I’ve seen.

You could also do it like this:

    Country: (Dropdown)

    State/Province: (Manual Enter)
