IE7 misplacing child list when wider than parent.

  • # January 23, 2013 at 6:11 am

I know, only 1.1 % still uses IE7, but this issue just bugs me, and I have customers using it :-(

The following fiddle shows the issue:
    http://jsfiddle.net/HYBA7/25/

The child list is wider than the parent li.
However, when shown in IE7, the child list is moved next to the parent li.

Most likely this has an easy fix, but I just can’t figure it out.
Any pointer is much appreciated :-)

For years I made it my mission to make ie6/7 behave exactly like modern. I have to say, I recently considered them dead, and it is liberating.

Sure…but what the client wants….the client gets.

True that. Sometimes you can agree with the client to have more basic UI in older browsers.

@ Paulie_D: this works fine. thanks!
