Is it possible to setup a CDN (i.e. Amazon CloudFront) using W3TC on a live production site without taking the site down or making it look like it was put through a blender? What are my other options? Putting up a splash page? If the answer is to put up a splash page, jow would I even put up a temporary splash page in WordPress on a live production site if WordPress files are being uploaded to said CDN?

I successfully setup W3TC and CloudFront on my staging site, but as the assets were being uploaded my site looked like dreck!

I have used this plugin to create a splash screen. It is simple.

Be sure to turn maintenance mode off when you are finished!

    Thanks for this.

My only fear is what I stated above…I hope even this plugin won’t be disrupted during the process.

I guess the only way to try is on a test WordPress.
