I came across this problem when I was placing elements on a site; I place a png image on the page I applied a drop shadow and it just selected the whole back.

I want to know is there’s a way you can selected around the transparent image besides the box?

    You can’t do that.

Or convert it an svg, or, you could something crazy with borders and backgrounds to mimic it. All in all, probably easiest to just do it in photoshop

thats a good Idea I shouldn’t relied on coding to fix all my problem when I can solve the problems with my programs.
