How much margin and padding between major sections?

    how do you decide how much margin and padding you should use between sections? What does such a decision become based on?

    isn’t Vertical rhythm mostly dealing with Typography, margins between paragraphs, headers, and line heights, and such?

    mainly I am talking about the space between sections, like the Header and Content, and the Content and Footer, etc..

    Rhythm is just repeated pattern. More consistent the pattern, better rhythm. This is not typography concept, this is applied to pretty much anything. Having good vertical rhythm, is having consistent spacing between all elements, type included.
