Help Please! Background image gets cut off…

  • # August 13, 2009 at 3:20 pm

    i am (obviously) new to this, and i have tried everything i can think of to get the background image to render completely. As you can see, the bottom of the background image is cut off at the bottom of the main container (at least it does in Firefox & Safari on a Mac). The background image should continue below the main content area and fade into the background color as it does on the sides. Here is a link: http://www.brandmatika.com/clients/dafausto/ Any help is very appreciated!

    Regards,
    jamie

    Give your footer about 180px bottom padding.

    Code:
    #footer {
    border-top:1px solid #999999;
    float:left;
    height:20px;
    padding-bottom:180px;
    width:800px;
    }

    Thank you Apostrophe, that works! So, just for future reference, was there a better way to build this to achieve the same effect? i want to learn to do things the right way.
