I have Apache and I’m on a shared Linux server. My main question is this: If I zip up all my javascript and css into one big zipped file. What do I have to do to make the browsers download/use that zipped file and not each file individually? How does the browser know to use my zipped up file? Do I specify what file to use in my html?

I’m using this great method:http://rakaz.nl/2006/12/make-your-pages-load-faster-by-combining-and-compressing-javascript-and-css-files.html To try and speed things up. Everything is ready to go, but I do not have my files zipped. Once I do, I’m just confused as to how I direct the browsers to use that zipped file.
