Happy and Sad Comments

So, when Chris makes a post under the Home tab,
directly under the post is a smiley and frowny face
like you see to the right, ummm above this post :P

Does anyone know the purpose of these or how it even determines if you are happy or sad? What if you’re angry?! >.< LOL

Yeah, I have no idea how it’s determined. At first I thought you clicked it to add a “vote”, but I have no idea idea lol.

I think it’s used for the comments on posts on the main site – probably an accident that it’s showing up here at all!

woah that’s weird, I’m not sure how they are being applied here. It’s some jQuery that dynamically adds that. Is it just this thread or what is the pattern that gets them to appear?

@ChrisCoyier – I only noticed it on this thread when Mottie had first posted it. What about making a test post with the same exact words @Mottie has used to see if it renders?

@TheDoc LOL no worries. A friend of mine told me recently that I needed to see the definition of Mottie in the urban dictionary…. I was not pleased LMAO (especially about the second entry o.O)
