Google+ networking

  • # July 12, 2012 at 5:26 am

    hi,

I am all for networking as I said once already here :)
    http://css-tricks.com/forums/discussion/17731/#Item_1

    I started using Google+ finally
    https://plus.google.com/u/0/103683273055670815184/posts

    I like it
as it has different approach to getting know new people (strangers not former schoolmates)
as where you can follow them and easily know what they are up to (kinda stalking, right ? :D)
as it is way smarter than FB because on G+ so far I found mostly web and savvy people (smart guys)

if you agree, join me on Google+
I am interested in new contacts and professionals in web design

want to see more souls in my “Web Dev People” circle :)

I’ve added you. Actually, now that I think about it, it might be a good idea to have a “Web Dev” circle. I guess that’s what the circles are for, right?

I use G+ like some sort of GUI for RSS reader of sort :)

It is easy to know what are people sharing and talking about as well as it is easy to watch few “pages”.
I have 2 circles no more, “Web Dev People” + “Web Dev Pages”.

Sounds like an awesome idea, sign me up!

    added you guys

I’ve completely removed my G+ account due to the fact that I’ve found it completely useless! It had a good run, made some noise, but the Facebook+Twitter combo still dominates my social media.

The only reason I find G+ useless is because none of my friends use it. If they did, I would give up Facebook altogether, I love everything about G+. I do enjoy following blogs like The Verge and WIRED because their posts aren’t mixed with my friends’ statuses and photos.

    exactly

there is the thing , as I can imagine we belong into very specific group as “IT folks”
it is obvious that most of our friends are non IT thus on FB

and on G+ is only a handful web, pc, … related souls like us :)

I’m willing to give it a whirl :) I added you guys – feel free to add me as well if you’d like. I’m just not particularly all that much of a fan of FB :P

I’m with @TheDoc. I deleted it after realizing it has no use to me. I’m not a fan of Facebook either and therefore I’m solely on Twitter.

well I am trying it now, will see by the end of the year how it serves, good or not
I do enjoy TW though for work stuff and FB merely got for family and friends
