    hi,

one HTML related question appeared during learning how to write Github README.md file

    http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/basics
    it says in part CODE

I wish SmartyPants used named entities like `—`
instead of decimal-encoded entites like `—`

ever since I remember I was using Entity Number

    which brings me here
    http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_entities.asp
    http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_symbols.asp

what is better = to use Entity Number or Entity Name ?
and does it cause any problem, if so when?

I believe that the name is just mapped to the number, so really it makes no difference which one you use… maybe some older browsers may not have the name?

I actually like using markdown, I just wish there was better support for tables.
