Fittext.js Issue

  • # February 14, 2013 at 1:59 pm

I’m redoing my portfolio site and using fittext.js and it’s working awesome except for this one little bug.

When I resize my browser out of a certain break point, the fittext.js isn’t working, but if I refresh the page, it works fine. I’m completely stumped.. It happens right when you come out of the break point at 640px which is going from the mobile navigation up to the smallest version of the site without the mobile nav. You have to resize it just right and you’ll see that the text isn’t adjusting.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated, it’s been driving me crazy, here is a link to the demo: [http://jasonkinney.me/portfolio/](http://jasonkinney.me/portfolio/ “http://jasonkinney.me/portfolio/”)

It not only happens at 640px but whenever there is alot transition going on so my guess is the JS takes the width on an element while the transition effect is still going on (I actually tested removing the transition and then it worked how it should)

A fix could be to make the JS rerun 0.3sec (transition time) after a resize.

I really don’t need that transition on there at all. I think for now I will just take it out. I think my frustration got in the way of seeing this clearly. Thank you !!!!!
