Feedback on Portfolio

  • # June 12, 2008 at 12:48 pm

I recently redesigned my portfolio after learning how to code sites using CSS/XHTML. My biggest obstacle was to have those two images for the background look like one image. So that when you were at the top of the page it was night but then as you scrolled down it became day time with the image.

Please take a moment to view my portfolio and let me know thoughts about overall css and design.

I would be very interested in feedback on my site.

It looks like the background is one big image yeah? Works fine at the default text size but if you knock it up you do bust "below the ground" Maybe you could throw that background image on the body element and a repeating "dirt" image on the html element so you just go down deeper into the dirt when the page expands. The black text in the grass gets a little lost too, maybe that could go in some kind of transparent box or something. The design is fantastic, great work!

Thanks for the feedback! The idea to have the dirt on the bottom is a great idea and I can’t wait to try that out
Yes, the background image is one image. I tried for a while to get those 2 images to synch up in the background but when I scrolled it just wasn’t looking the way I wanted it to, so I decided to just make it one bg image.
