Home › Forums › JavaScript › Feedback on jQuery plugin
Hi, I’ve just finished my first ever jQuery plugin and I’d like some feedback on it so I can do better next time.
I’ve set up a doc page here:
http://www.zhereicome.com/experiments/statics/statisquares/
and you can look at the source code here: https://github.com/jonigiuro/statiSquares/blob/master/js/statiSquare.js
Thanks in advance
Jonas
Hi @JoniGiuro
Having to download and install a plugin is a lot to ask of your average forum reader. Unless I missed it, there’s no example to look at on your docs page. You’d probably get more reviews than you need if you made an example.
Hi @cpyle0819
@JoniGiuro linked to [this page](http://www.zhereicome.com/experiments/statics/statisquares/ “”), although it’s not a interactive example, it still kind of shows you how it works without the need to download it and install it etc.
I cant get your plugin to work on codepen.
[Go to the Codepen](http://codepen.io/SSchnitzler/pen/KBkhu)
I’ve linked the js as the external JavaScript File and pasted the css into the box.
I know ages passed, but here I am again. I just changed job so I had absolutely no time to look into that. Anyway, you are right, the example did not work on codepen because I changed a class in the documentation page and forgot to adapt the script. Anyway, everything should work now:

@cpyle0819 there’s a lot of examples in the page. Just because it doesn’t move it doesn’t mean that it’s not a jquery plugin :)
thanks for the feedback
