I think you did well but it still needs quite some polishing.
– The text Rand Rasoul isn’very readable, without shadow and tranparency it wil look better.
– Mouseover on images is a bit slow, images aren’t sharp when zoomed in, whole page get longer with moveover
– Mouseover on menu feels like, “he look what I can do” It doesn’t add anything and isn’t anything near subtile
– background and border aren’t that well, maybe a bit boring or outdated
– footer content side by side wouldn’t be bad too
– for colors please make a colorsheme first, the blue and darkred don’t match
