I am trying to figure out how to create an overlay DIV that still allows the overflow of the X to be scrolled.
Much like teehanlax.com with their table of contents.
Any recommendations where to start?
They haven’t done anything fancy, what they did is add `padding-right: 100px` to the parent `
` container and set `overflow-y: visible` which offsets the scroll bar to the right but gives you the clean no scroll bar experience. To keep everything centered they simply used `width: 100%` which gets inherited from the screen width since the padding only affects the parent and nothing else around it.
