Good Morning,
I have tried to use beyond compare 3 to merge some css properties into another css file, it works for some lines however if the selectors are on different lines it doesn’t see the difference in the documents. My question is, is there a really good css compare/merge tool out there?
Thanks,
Michael Abrams
A fine question! I don’t think I’ve really used one before, to be honest.
::BUMP::
Have you tried WinMerge? http://winmerge.org/
Win merge is about identical to Beyond Compare 3, but tried anyway, it still requires the selectors to be in the same order
::bump::
well, my post wont be a complete solution, but a possibility to create one.
If you have time, you can define the grammar of CSS in Beyond compare.
and use higher weights on the Selectors and then the Style Elements…
don’t know yet about reordering,
though, Reordering of selectors can sometime be significant change and change the CSS behaviour
Of-course if you have time to create the BC3 Grammar, we would love it!
