critique my wordpress site

so I have been working on a wordpress website.

pleas tell me what you think and how its going so far.
I still need to figure out how I will categorize things and I have not finished making a comments section

I think there’s real potential there, and I like the top nav a lot — the concern that jumps out at me is the branding at the top. It seems awfully small, sort of lost in that very large header, and the text is so close in color to the texture that it gets lost. Higher contrast would be beneficial. Not sure what else you’re planning for the header, but if it’s just the logo, that’s a lot of real estate just sitting there (in my opinion, at least).

Also, a nitpick here — when I click ‘Develop’ and see the ‘Showing absolutely nothing’ message — absolutely is spelled incorrectly.

hehe really that ‘absolutely’ has to change.

I wanted my logo centered but it does seem to be a bit big.
perhaps I will play with it.

my problem now is categories.
if I want to make lets say a tutorial on illustrator. should the category be ‘tutorials’ or ‘design’?
there also might be a tutorial on making a website. tutorials? or develop?

and what if someone wanted to see only tutorials under design?

so I created a sub category ‘tutorials’ under design, but I think it might be confusing when someone clicks it and only sees design tutorials and wonders where all the tutorials are.

Why not all three as categories; Illustrator, Design and Tutorials?

but I can give as many tags as possible.

ok i came up with a system.
tell me if its good.

i have a tag ‘tutorials’ which shows all tutorials.

if you only want design tutorials i have subcategory design-tutorials
