Creating a Responsive Div with an Image and a Div

I’m building a marketing call-out for the top of a website and it doesn’t look half bad. Of course, I want the design to be responsive.

Try sizing-down the example in the CodePen above and you’ll notice the bottom of the image (the doctor) begins to rise from the bottom of the DIV. How can I solve this so that the text on the right and the image continue to match height proportionally? Really, the image needs to match the height of .feature_inner

Don’t worry about the menu’s funkiness while resizing, I plan to solve that with media queries.
