Hi guys,
I have a very strange problem. I am working on a new design where I want my footer to be a dark pink color:
#DB5C56
But for whatever reason the color looks very different in Chrome and Safari. Here is how it looks: http://d.pr/i/hVDm
How can this happen, and how can I prevent if from happening?
Regards,
tammelin
I should add that the background color is set using background in CSS. The background is not an image …
@tammelin Are you using Mountain Lion? Check Firefox and compare them.
This might be the solution overall though if you’ve done this: http://stackoverflow.com/a/6246569/938664
This was posted as a bug in Chrome and someone linked to a fix: http://www.brilliantthinking.net/2012/08/06/how-to-fix-screen-colour-changes-in-mountain-lion-osx/ but read the comments first.
thanks a lot!
after repairing the permissions and restarting chrome the colors now displays correctly!
like the guy on stackoverflow I am also using an external monitor with a custom color profile. this seems to be the source of the issue. although the color looked fine in both safari and firefox all the time.
thanks again!
You’re welcome. Glad to see it’s fixed.
