Coding a pop up to collect email addresses.
- How would you guys do it?
- What would the code look like?
- Would you use a specific plug in to handle it? Or some jQuery code?
- Should I use IDs and Classes like “Ad” if I want AdBlock to block it, if someone has AdBlock installed? I don’t want to be -too- annoying by circumventing AdBlock.
- Based on cookies or some kind of variable, how could I only show the pop up only once to the user during their session? And not display it for at least 30-90 days.
Essentially, I want to learn everything there is about this area and execute displaying a pop up to collect email addresses. But I don’t want to be too annoying about it.
