Clean theme for wordpress

  • # February 20, 2013 at 11:47 pm

About 6 months ago I was designing a wordpress website and downloaded a clean theme, but I can’t remember where I did that, plus I can’t find it on my computer. Can someone point me to a good clean copy?

    Thanks in advanc

What do you mean by clean? Underscores is my current favorite theme, and (CSS wise) it’s about as clean as you can get: All it really has is a tiny CSS reset, and leaves all the rest of the styling up to you.

Is that what you mean, or do you mean a clean design that someone else built?

HTML5 Reset has [blank WordPress Theme](http://html5reset.org/#wordpress). [Bones is another](http://themble.com/bones/) good one.

Sorry, should have clarified clean as in minimum markup, so that I can design from a clean slate. Thanks for the names.

I am currently using Starkers nude WordPress theme. I like it for the most part. It has a bit of wonkiness in that it separates the header and footer files from everything else and places them in their own folder. Also, if you want to have your footer separate from everything else on your website, you have to change the order in which footer.php and html-footer.php are called. But other than that, I think it is pretty swell.
