You were write Flash is not Dart, etc. You also have the workflow reversed.
Flash does write html, javascript and CSS.
Flash does write Dart.
Flash does write Java.
Flash does write iOS AIR.
Flash does write Android iOS.
..and mp3 and mp4.
It seems like 1/2 of this thread is an argument as to whether when someone says “Flash” they mean the application or a published swf. My question, having never looked at it, is: Does the Flash -> HTML5 export option put out good code or, as it is with most adobe app -> web converters, the code is bloated garbage and you should really be doing all of this by hand? Or are you saying you can develop directly in HTML and CSS inside of the flash application, which would be new since the last time I used it.
Everyone wins. unasAqualia is spot on with “Java is not Flash” and sharpiecim is right that you can publish to ios and android. In all if you want the code the best it can be do it by hand but if you want to produce for multiple devices while creating only one project use flash.
Flash is not dead just simple in the background. If you were going to focus on just ios apps than don’t use flash but if you’re going to make content you want more people to see play around with flash and you might actually enjoy it.
Give the designers a go we don’t need code everything.
