    Hi,

I’ve set a background image via the page properties (body) in CSS – an optimised jpg file just to provide a graduated color effect – when I load the web page with IE or chrome the background flashes as you move from page to page – all OK in Firefox, netscape, opera, and safari

The background file is 33Kb – optmised via photoshop.

Been informed that ‘That’s just what to expect when navigating from page to page. Browsers deal with this differently. Some clear the old page before re-drawing – some just seem to draw ontop or wait until it’s fully ready to draw the new page.’

The ‘flash’ is very distracting so have gone back to a plan background colour but was wondering if there was away around this as the effect gave depth to screen – any ideas ?

    John C
