Background music is twisting my mind

  • # December 24, 2009 at 2:38 am

Hello and a blessed Christmas to you all,

I have just completed a site for someone. He asked me to add background music to his site. I did this by embedding a sound file to every page. The problem is that the song starts playing from the start every time a user navigates to a different page.

I realize that this is because the sound file is in every page, but what I can’t figure out is where to put this file and make it loop so that it plays from the beginning to the end and start playing over again only when the end of the song is reached regardless of what navigation is going on.

I built the site using Dreamweaver 8. Here is the url: http://www.bandbat53.co.za — please excuse the code, I know its a mess, but at least I know whats going on there.

It would be great if someone can help me out with this.

    Regards,

    Lucille

You would have to use frames to accomplish this task. Or build a flash website.

I’m pretty sure those are your only two options.

Or you could use something like this: http://jqueryfordesigners.com/demo/tabs.html
