    Hello.

    My navigation will consist of 50x50px buttons( ‘a’ tags) with NO texts, just icons. And I would like it also to be retina ready so I’m wondering whats the best approach to it. Icon-fonts or image-sprite (i will double the size)?

    And what’s latest best-practice on text-replacements?

    Thank you.

    Yes! Icon fonts are the very definition of retina friendly.

    Think of icon-fonts as regular text. Would you ask yourself whether text is retina friendly? :)

    @HugoGiraudel
    I don’t know really. But I think they’re(some) not because text on my non-retina devices aren’t that crisp.
