Anyone care to share site stats?

  • # July 18, 2013 at 5:15 pm

Visiting Length (Total Visiting Time per User).

    For mine,
    http://www.knowledgenotebook.com/index5.html

    For instance,

    From 5 secs to 30 secs = 29.5%

    From 30 secs to 5 mins = 21.1%

Not good enough, and I’m working to improve it.

Er, what are these percentages referring to? Load times? If so, it’s hardly helpful to compare stats on different sites, as everyone is likely to have varying connection speeds.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding, though. Could you clarify?

Good question. Oops, I missed the Visit Length part. True, connection speed varies, but still it’s a measurement parameter.

    Are those GA data?

    Not GA but similar.

I think jurotek’s question was where the data comes from (not what it is “similar to”).

@traq, not sure you understood what GA stands for. fyi, GA stands for Google Analytics. “but similar”, meaning, a similar tool.

I understand what GA stands for. My question was about _where the data comes from_, since you said it did _not_ come from GA. “A similar tool” does not answer this question (but does indicate that you understood what I was asking).

More to the point, however: is there a reason for your wanting to share this info? What are you interested in learning/ discussing? Is there any purpose beyond sharing a link to your site?

I’d like to find out how others are doing. Thanks.

I wish there was a way to just make your entire GA public. The export PDFs are kinda lame now too, used to export a whole book of data, now just the page you’re looking at.

    @chriscoyier That’s a weird repetitive pattern.

I’m completely bewildered by the question/purpose.

    Best pattern ever.
