    Hey there!

So I’m trying to figure out a way to create lightweight banners for web layouts much like the way theverge.com does their “watch now” banner. Looks like theirs is simply the hex color in a div with a margin-left: -20px; or something. Image free!

But the banner tail is beyond me.

I’ve tried a div with a background image and moved it around… (see flickr image) but it won’t display.

    Check out this Pen!

Aside from that is there a way to create an angled banner tail with strict css? A nice looking CSS only banner would be useful to us all. :)
