    Hi there,

    A bit off topic here, but I’m not sure where to ask :)

    E-Commerce site owners, how do you guys deal with marketers and other people calling you to sell their product? You’re an owner trying to give customer service to your customers, but you keep getting marketers calling you. Do all stores have to deal with this?

    Would the solution be to get a 1-800 number or is there something else out there?

    If you register you business at local city hall your telephone number becomes available to the public.

    The only way to stop this is to:
    + stop them while they’re giving you the pitch
    + ask them how they got this number
    + ask them to take you off the list
    + tell them not to call again
