I'm into a dilemma, completely removing the facebook likes for every post type or find a way to speed things up.
Just to show you what I mean, we've been running a tshirt gallery here: http://teehunter.com/tee-gallery/ and we use the "Like" button for every tshirt because at the end of the day, the most liked gets a feature on the homepage.
It's loading extremely slow and checking with firefox/firebug it seems facebook is the one that delays this by a lot.
