There are definitely steps you can take to increase your SEO which in turn will help your ranking on search engines, but if you are looking for more "leads and business" then you will need to look at adwords, facebook ads or something of the like.
I'd do it for free if you're interested. I'm willing to offer that because I have nothing in my portfolio (although I'm confident I would do a great job, you would have no previous work to look at) and no professional experience. However, I think I'm very capable and, hey, you've got to start somewhere.
