As the title suggests, looking for tools and/or tuts on image optimization for the web. Don't know much about it and would like to know more.

This on is decent..., Personally I use free IrfanView to optimize images for the web. Does a great job.
@jurotek run some test and you will see smush.it does not compare with the results of jpegmini.
