I like it a lot, but what do you mean speed it up?
i really dont like the flash carousel. its slow, not very intuitive and over 100kb. try using jquery. you can get some nice effects and would be 2-3x smaller.
I would also pick a background color that has a little more contrast for a background... right now the two browns kind of blend together. maybe a light brown or a dark (almost black) brown..
I think that will make the main content pop a little bit, I think

Regards to the site being slow, the carousel, yeah thats the one thing that I had in mind to change, and also going to retouch and introduce a better CSS to the site, right now it is starting up with images all over the place and is taking a long time (esspecially for South African bandwith) to load.

Okay, it seems now the carousel is too fast, I would slow that down, and also look at optimizing your images for the web - for me the site took a long time to load.

I also think the type for your logo might be too grungy for your site, but that's my opinion.
