[Solved] quick RWD question...

  • peoples. can u get away with just stuffing around fixed width elements for different screen sizes not having any fluidity at all? maybe adjust some heading- and font sizes here and there... waddya think?

  • Sure, if you know the viewport width of every device your site is going to be viewed on. And even then, that's only around 50 or so media queries for different widths.

I personally wouldn't do it that way; that's an insane amount of extra work.

  • i'm not talking big elements like a content area of +600px. more like smaller blocks. maybe max 250px in wide. 250px should be enough for even the smallest devices, right?

  • if i start out with the mobile design and move up the screen sizes (320 and up-ish)...

  • It's still a messier way to work, and one that will lead to more headaches in the long run. The web is naturally fluid, why not take advantage of that and save yourself some work?

Also, it pays to be very explicit in your first post, and cover what you are, and are not, talking about. We aren't mind readers after all ;)

  • hehe. true dat :) tnx for answer.
