The time has come in my life where i need some guidance for personal website vs professional portfolio website vs a mixture of both. By no means have i created something super awesome (the eric meyers, john resig, etc) so i dont expect my website to have a large turn out at first. I would like to use it for a mixture of my professional accomplishments as well as previous client work, the norm. But i always want to be able to post things, hence the Wordpress.
I understand Wordpress is a CMS, and a powerful one at that. My main question is, should i incorporate WP into my site now and take full advantage of how powerful it is, or start off with something smaller.
Also, is there a very super blank WP theme that i can start off from? And DAMNIT! I know Chris wrote a book about WP (im going to buy it), any previous reads?
Thanks in advance to reading my novel i have wrote...
@TheDoc, you never cease in amazing me. Can i get a list of your browser's bookmarks lol.. Im deff digging that _s. Enough so that you've sold me.. Let's mark this Solved :)
Would you say _s is better than starkers? I recently used Starkers for my website and I found it quite nice. However I have noticed that it's hard when trying to edit some stuff that should be editable such as the comments file, highlighting the authors comments functionality is not there either which is a bummer.
I only looked into it from Chris' screencast's when designing for WordPress, it was actually quite good to use. But I think I may use underscores for my next project. Thanks for the info.
I also dislike Starkers. It's a bulky blank theme. I've been using the HTML5 Blank Wordpress Theme (See here). But I'm starting to like http://underscores.me

Hey @TheDoc
Would you say _s is better than starkers? I recently used Starkers for my website and I found it quite nice. However I have noticed that it's hard when trying to edit some stuff that should be editable such as the comments file, highlighting the authors comments functionality is not there either which is a bummer.
I've never really liked Starkers, though to be fair I never really gave it a chance.
I only looked into it from Chris' screencast's when designing for WordPress, it was actually quite good to use. But I think I may use underscores for my next project. Thanks for the info.

I've been a big fan of thematic. I've been interested in _S, but I know thematic so well.
I'll give underscores a try next.
